When you've been loved conditionally—only when you performed well, only when you made someone else comfortable, only when you gave—faith becomes the antidote.
Because God's love isn't conditional. It's not earned through perfect behavior. It's not lost when you set boundaries. It's not withdrawn when you say no.
Reclaiming God's Love
In toxic relationships, we often confuse human love with God's love. We think if we just try harder, sacrifice more, and endure longer, we'll finally be worthy of being loved well.
But that's not God's love. That's performance. That's fear. That's the exact opposite of the love we're designed to receive.
Scripture for Your Healing
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Not because you earned it. Not because you're perfect. Because you exist.
"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" (1 John 3:1)
Children. Not servants. Not projects to be fixed. Children worthy of love just for being.
Faith as Foundation
Healing through faith doesn't mean pretending the pain didn't happen. It means grounding yourself in truth bigger than your trauma.
The truth that you were created in God's image. That your value isn't derived from anyone else's opinion. That wholeness is possible through faith, community, and time.
Walking Forward
As you heal, let God's unconditional love reshape how you see yourself. Not through someone else's eyes. Through God's eyes. And in that seeing, you'll find the worth you've been searching for all along.
